Ann Curry

Ann Curry is an American journalist and photojournalist. She has been reporting for over 45 years focused on human suffering in war zones and natural disasters. Curry has covered the conflict zones of Kosovo Iraq Syria Lebanon Palestine Afghanistan Darfur Congo and the Central African Republic. Ann Curry (born on November 19th, 1956 in Agana) is an American anchor, television reporter and journalist. Curry was perhaps most well-known for being the correspondent of The Today Show, which was a morning news program that was broadcast by National Broadcasting Co. Curry's reportage was notable by its coverage of human emergencies that took place in war-torn nations as well as natural disasters. Curry's father was an sailor with the U.S. Navy and her mother was Japanese. Her parents met while her father was in Japan shortly after World War II. In the wake of her father's involvement as a military officer, they moved a lot. They eventually arrived in Ashland Oregon where Curry attended high school. Curry graduated in 1978, with the degree of Bachelor's in Journalism from the University of Oregon.
